H.E. Liqun Jin

Mr. Liqun Jin has been the Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Finance, PR
China since 1998. He joined the Ministry of Finance in 1980 and has served as Section Chief and Deputy Director of the External Finance Department (1983-1987), Deputy Director-General (1987-1993), Director-General of the World Bank Department (1993-1995) and the Assistant Minister (1995-1998).

From 1981 to 1982, Mr. Jin served as Staff Assistant at the Executive
Director's Office for China at the World Bank (Washington D.C.). From 1990 to 1993, he served as Alternate Executive Director of the Executive Director's Office for China at the World Bank (Washington D.C.).

Mr. Jin received his post graduate degree from the English Department at the Beijing Foreign Languages Institute. Mr. Jin was the Humphrey Fellow in the Economics Department of Boston University from 1987 to 1988.

Mr. Jin was born on August 30, 1949 in Changshu City, Jiangsu Province of China.
