Nicholas Lardy

Dr. Nicholas Lardy is currently Interim Director and Senior Fellow of Foreign Policy Studies at the Brookings Institute. His current interests focus on Asian economics and integrating China into the global economy.

From 1997 - 1999, Dr. Lardy served as the Frederick Frank Adjunct Professor of International Trade and Finance at Yale University School of Management. He has also served as the Director of the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington as well as the Chair of the China Program. Dr. Lardy is a former Assistant and Associate Professor at Yale University and the former Assistant Director of the Economic Growth center at Yale.

Dr. Lardy has written extensively about China. His most recent book, published in 1998, is titled: China's Unfinished Economic Revolution. He spoke at the 1999 Global Fortune 500 Conference held in Shanghai, China.

Dr. Lardy received his Bachelors Degree from the University of Wisconsin. In 1975, he received a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
