Oliver Lembcke

Oliver Lembcke is assistant professor of political science at the University of Jena, Germany. He studied history, Law, and political science at Kiel University and was a visiting fellow at Fletcher School for Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. He is specialised in political theory and international relations. Among his recent publications are Der Kongreß und Israel. Amerikanische Auslandshilfe im legislativen Entscheidungsprozeß and Pax Americana im Nahen Osten. Eine Studie zur Transformation regionaler Ordnungen (together with Helmut Hubel and Markus Kaim). He is currently working on a project about global powers and regional orders. Prof. Lembcke's research interests include the triangular relationship between the United States, China, and the European Union. After a research visit in China, he works closely with fellows at the Centre for European Studies of Fudan University, Shanghai, and publishes articles for a major Chinese journal for German and European studies edited by the Institute for German Studies at Tongji University, Shanghai.
