Timothy P. Stratford

Mr. Stratford is Vice Chairman and General Counsel for General Motors' China Group operations. He is currently serving a second term as Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in China.

Prior to joining GM, Mr. Stratford was a partner in the Beijing office of Coudert Brothers (1995-98), president of the Taiwan Taichung Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (1992-95), Minister-Counselor for Commercial Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing (1989-92), and an attorney practicing law in Hong Kong (1984-88) and Beijing (1982-84). Mr. Stratford graduated from Harvard Law School in 1981 and Brigham Young University in 1978. He speaks Mandarin and Cantonese, and is married with three children.
