President & CEO, GE Energy China Steve Fludder was born on June 17, 1960. He attended Providence College and Columbia University, graduating with Bachelor of Science Degree's from both institutions. He joined GE Aircraft Engines on the Edison Engineering Program holding assignments in Engineering and Project Management, including leadership of GE's regional jet engine program. During this time he also received his Master of Science Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In 1994 Steve moved to Hong Kong to start-up GE Aircraft Engine's Marine & Industrial business in Asia. In 1995 he relocated to Jakarta, Indonesia to lead the Marine & Industrial business in Southeast Asia. In 1998 he transferred to GE Power Systems and relocated back to Hong Kong to lead GE Energy Services' North Asia team, including; China, the Philippines, Korea and Japan. In 1999, he was appointed General Manager of GE Energy Services for the Northeast USA. In 2002 Steve was appointed General Manager¨CAsia Pacific for GE Wind Energy based in Shanghai, and led the start-up of this new business in Asia. In April 2003 he was appointed to his present position leading GE Energy's overall business in China, and he is now based in Beijing. |
