A Conversation with Contemporary Chinese Author Yu Hua | Exclusive Interview 2023

Yu Hua, born in Zhejiang, China, is one of the most popular and renowned authors of the Chinese avant-garde fiction movement. His notable works include To Live, Chronicle of a Blood Merchant, and The Seventh Day. Yu Hua’s works have received widespread acclaim both domestically and internationally. He has been awarded numerous prizes such as the Special Book Award of China, the Grinzane Cavour Literature Prize and has been inducted into the French Order of Arts and Letters.
